The First Dance....

President Obama and the First Lady Michelle first dance
maybe the top priority of the first couple
is to
"get naked and dance"
but it was in the
National Cathedral
this morning
hearing the singing
of
"amazing grace"
that tears started to fall
and
as a child
i cried and cried
it has been a long journey
'amazing grace'
brings it home
to the song-prayer we all sing
when gathered around the dining room table
sharing those scattered seldom occuring moments
of
being together
sharing the blessings
of
oneself
ps. makiah and i gave up our inauguration tickets
stayed home
played basketball and danced the night away
back to work and school today
is to
