Leaving Vernmont at 6am back to IOwa tomorrow, to integrate and communicate the last ten days of PREVENTIVE crisis emergency system management findings….more soon.
I am posting to get volunteers there. This is my post:
EVERYWHERE: VMS NEEDED TO HELP CEDAR RAPIDS AFTER SEVERE FLOODING!
“Last week there has been severe flooding of the Mississippi River and several of the tributaries that run off of this river into the states of IOWA, Illinois and Missouri. These floods have affected both cities and towns that are along these water ways and as a result there is an estimated 40,000 people (!) that are homeless and an estimated 3 billion dollars in damages. These floods have not yet stopped and are literally moving down the Missippi with more predicted to occur.
We need Volunteers on the ground and now we are working together with west US Volunteers, getting Volunteers activated as we have done in the past. Round up as many volunteers as you can and go there as soon as possible.
The help that is needed is in all forms - everything from direct clean up to giving aide to people affected, we are setting up one command central in Cedar Rapids to start with but other places can be addressed as well.

William at 202-431-9417. If they need cheap flights, hotel, etc, they can log onto www.priceline.com and they will get cheap ones.
This is major and we are way behind in activating our troops so need to move fast! The Volunteers all wear a yellow tee shirt as part of the uniform, and bring regular clean up type clothes.
Free assist training on line. This is non-denominational and in no way interferes with your current practice. It is to help clean up the environment and assist the survivors.
I just checked the tag 'Iowa'. It turns out this is the first blog ever tagged with 'Iowa' in the entire history of Zaadz/Gaia. Impressive!
I helped out here in Iowa City before the flooding, but now there isn't much to be done in this area. I'm fairly close to Cedar Rapids, but I don't have any personal transportation. I'll check around with some of my friends to see if anyone wants to go there to volunteer. Offhand, I can only think of one friend who might be interested. What kind of volunteering is needed there right now?

I talked to William just a few minutes ago.They have 5 people setting up the tents now.They need about 30 volunteers.

They will “instant hat” those that are willing to just roll up their sleeves and start the work on how we bring about order.
